INDUSTRY ORGANISATIONS

Community of European Railways and Infrastructure Companies - www.cer.be
The Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) brings together 70 railway undertakings and infrastructure companies from the European Union, the accession countries (Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey) as well as from the Western Balkan countries, Norway, and Switzerland. It is based in Brussels and represents its members’ interests vis-à-vis the European Parliament, Commission and Council of Ministers as well as other policy makers and transport actors.

RailNet Europe - http://www.railneteurope.com

Created in December 2003 by the infrastructure managers, RailNet is the European production and selling pole for international paths. Purely operational, the organisation develops a common system aiming at improving the efficiency of the European rail and promoting this modal choice.

The Association European Rail Infrastructure Managers (EIM) - http://www.eimrail.org

The EIM were created in 2002 to defend the interests and positions of the European infrastructures managers. Based in Brussels, the association includes eleven infrastructure managers (France, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Portugal, Great Britain, Slovenia), and is chaired by Mr Jean-Marie Bertrand, Chairman of RFF.

European Rail Freight Association - www.erfa.be

ERFA is the association of new operators to the rail freight market across Europe, mostly private and independent companies. The aim of ERFA is to remove material or legal hinderances and obstacles that prevent carriers from rapidly establishing international rail freight services, using all the rail infrastructure regardless of who manages them, and to encourage all developments likely to enable all rail companies to flourish in the rail freight market irrespective of their size or age.

CUSTOMER ORGANISATIONS

European Rail Freight Customer Platform - www.erfcp.org

The European Rail Freight Customers’ Platform is an initiative of European and national associations of industries and groupings. The aim of the platform is the realisation of a single, customer-oriented rail freight market in Europe. The objective of ERFCP is therefore to support the achievement of a reliable, cost effective and efficient European rail transport system for freight, available to meet customers’ requirements.
