This site was created by the Strategic Rail Authority to help businesses see where rail freight can play a role in their supply chain. Since the demise of the SRA it has been hosted by the Rail Freight Group but is not updated and therefore any pertinent facts contained within it should be clarified before use.

Freight on Rail is a partnership of the rail freight operators, Rail Freight Group, Network Rail, the transport trade unions and Transport 2000 working to promote the shift to rail freight. Freight on Rail focuses on lobbying local and regional government to help encourage rail freight. The freight on rail website contains many useful case studies of rail freight at work
